A Bee-utiful Presentation!

Halloween Carnival

Narwhal’s, roosters, gangsters, and even an “Out of Order” toilet! This year’s Halloween Carnival was a spectacular success. The 5th Grade students each created a Halloween-themed booth or game for the rest of the school to enjoy at the Halloween Carnival. We enjoyed everything from a Haunted House, to Graveyard Bowling!  Students dressed up in their creative costumes and had a great time socializing across grade levels. A few students even walked away with awards for their special costumes!

Middleton Field Trip

Fourth Graders visited the Bee Sanctuary at Middleton Place on Thursday. Bee Experts were excited to suit up in bee keeper uniforms and transform into the role of bee keepers. The Middleton Place Bee Sanctuary was an outdoor classroom where students got an up close and personal look at these pollinators at work. Scholars learned even more about the role of the honey bee and had a lot of important questions answered.

Bee Presentation

On Friday, Fourth Grade presented their Bee Movie to a room full of parents and siblings. Over the course of the past 12 weeks, students have learned an immense amount of facts and information about the life of the honeybee, and the threats they face every day. After viewing the Bee Movie, parents viewed stories and dioramas written by our class and even participated in a honey tasting. We loved sharing all that we have learned with our families!
