4th Grade Archaeologists Dig Site! Please Proceed With Caution!

Students dug deeper into learning about ancient civilization on Monday as archaeologists! We set up a grid and drew it to scale. Students measured the area and perimeter. We then excavated “ancient” Grecian and Egyptian artifacts and recorded the data of our findings. The students’ immense precision and focus led them to discover the world of Archeology! Our Fourth Grade archaeologists were able to successfully link current math skills with the excavation process, which created an effective learning environment. They replicated the slow digging motions of excavating to carefully unveil each precious artifact. Gloves were worn and small shovels were used to complete this thrilling dig. Ask your child about their dynamic experience as archaeologists!

Students will be creating an artifact and conducting research for our Ancient Civilization presentation that will take place on November 14th.

Happy Howling Halloween!

Q: What do skeletons say before they begin dining?

A: Bone appetit!

Halloween was a smashing success! Fourth Graders slithered into class with spooky and creative costumes. The atmosphere was just right for Halloween at TCS. The morning started off with a halloween themed greeting followed by a fun ghoulish game where students had to detect which classmate’s voice they heard while closing their eyes. One of the highlights of the morning was when Fourth Graders partnered with Second Graders for reading buddies. This was a wonderful opportunity for students of different ages to work together. Second Graders were excited to have our class join them in this festive activity. The parade and carnival topped off the day! We really enjoyed seeing the entire school come together and celebrate Halloween the TCS way. Students couldn’t wait to participate in the parade and join in all of the spooky festivities. Ask your child what their favorite halloween costume was.
