Oh The Places They’ll Go!

Curriculum Night, Oh What A Night!

Thank you Fourth Grade parents, for joining us at Curriculum Night! We really enjoyed seeing all of you and we were thrilled to share our goals for the year. Your child’s hopes and dreams for this school year are becoming a reality as they embrace social, emotional and academic challenges. Curriculum Night gave us a chance to give you a firsthand look into what your child engages in on a daily basis. Our joyful class is reflective of responsive learning.

Charleston Stage in the House!

Fourth Graders were in for a treat this week when they had the opportunity to participate in five action packed drama classes, hosted by a dynamic trio of actors from Charleston Stage! The theme of each class focused on voice control, follow the leader, quick repetitive physical movements and vocalizing meaningful phrases such as, “Regular activism, something’s wrong! We can fix it.” Wait, there’s more! Students formed small groups where they acted out hilarious scenarios. Our classroom literally transformed into a delightful stage for all to see and hear.

Grammar Gurus!

The intricacies of grammar are complex and our students rose to the challenge as they focused on capitalizing titles and the opening/closing of letters. The more they practiced, the more they felt comfortable capitalizing the appropriate words in sentences. Students will leap into capitalizing languages, nationalities and historical events. Oh, the places they’ll go!
