4th Grade Scholars

Choir

For all of February, 4th Grade had the opportunity to learn about and honor famous black musicians for Black History Month. Each week, Mr. Andy welcomed them with an informational video about a certain artist, then he talked to them about their influence on the music industry. Finally, they got to sing a song written by the artists! They studied Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, The Jackson 5, and famous Jazz musicians from New Orleans specifically for Mardi Gras!

Self-Assessment

This week, 4th Graders led their own conferences, showing off their new skills to their parents and guardians. We are so proud of our students’ hard work at Self-Assessment Conferences. Thank you to all the family members that continuously support and celebrate our students’ learning.

Poetry

This week marks the start of Poetry for all of TCS! The students will write their own poems, then will select one to perform for the whole school. This tradition is known as Pass It On, and will be focused around a special charity that the students will vote on. All proceeds from the Pass It On book will go towards the charity.
