The Cooper School Daily

Thankful for our 4th Grade Parents!

We were thrilled to meet with all of you for conferences this week and to see you enjoying the Fourth Grade Ancient Civilization presentation. Students were excited to showcase their creative pieces.

We will be jumping into learning all about The American Revolution, after the Thanksgiving break. Please check your child’s silver folder for the American Revolution field trip permission slip. The forms need to be signed and returned to school by November 30th. Please remind your child to empty their silver folders each week.

A Smashing Success!

Fourth Graders created amazing artifacts for our Ancient Civilization presentation. They were hands-on with materials such as; salt dough, clay, sand and paint. Students worked enthusiastically on multi-slide shows on their iPads, and perfected their ancient Grecian vases. Each student took pride in their work and relished in the experience. Fourth Graders appreciated the time it took to present their work to parents and fellow students. Their expansive knowledge of Ancient Egypt and Greece was evident in their creations! Ask your child about their favorite part of the presentation.

Lunch Bunch Buddies!

Lunch time for 4th Graders is a wonderful experience where students sit with their friends, and grow as a class. We have recently introduced Lunch Bunch Buddies, where students rotate lunch in groups with different classmates, which fosters connecting with students whom they normally don’t sit with.

New conversations have been budding and lunch has been taking on a whole new meaning. Ask your child about who they have been chatting with at lunch.
