The Cooper School Daily

Week of February 27th

We had a fantastic week in First Grade! We wrapped up our Australia study, launched into self-assessment, and polished our pieces for the Opinion Pages presentation. Read on for an inside scoop to this week’s happening in First Grade.

Australian Animal Research

This week, First Graders culminated their Australia Study by researching a specific Australian animal! Students utilized both digital and print resources to gather information about their animal’s habitat, diet, and behavior. Below, students collaborate to research two Australian species of bird: the Kookaburra and Emu.

Student Led Conferences

First Graders were hard at work this week preparing their Self-Assessment portfolios for Student-Led conferences! We are so excited for students to host their families and showcase their growth throughout the school year. Please click here to access the Student Led Conferences Sign Up Genius.
