Biomes, Preparing to Publish, Move Up Day!

Biomes

Kindergarteners returned to school eager to make discoveries and share information about a variety of biomes. These curious minds have been engaged in learning about the climate, soil, plants, animals and people of the Polar, Desert, Tropical Rainforest and Wetland biomes this week. During learning centers students have been reading biome books and recording interesting facts in their Biome Fact Books. Kindergarteners have been enjoying sorting, trying on, and playing with the various clothing that is worn in each biome at the Imagination Station learning center.

Preparing to Publish

Kindergarten How-To experts have been busy this week revising and editing their pieces so that they can write their final drafts. Kindergarteners have learned to write an interesting introduction to grab the reader’s attention and a conclusion that wraps their story up. Kindergarteners can’t wait to share their stories with their friends in 2nd grade!

Move Up Day

Kindergarteners had so much fun visiting First grade on Friday. They had the opportunity to meet the tortoises, learn how to pick out a “just right” book that they read with a friend, got a tour of the classroom, and so much more!!! Ask your Kindergartener what their favorite part of Move-Up Day was?
