100 Days in First grade !

100th Day of School Celebration

On Wednesday, we proudly celebrated our 100th day of school! First graders were beyond excited to reach this big milestone and couldn’t believe they have already completed 100 days of learning and growing together. We had the special opportunity to cheer on our kindergarten buddies during the 100-Day Parade, which made the day even more memorable. Throughout the day, scholars enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging 100-day activities, including creating their very own 100-piece crowns, counting 100 steps around the school, and participating in many other hands-on celebrations. Be sure to ask your scholar about their favorite 100th-day activity!

Compliment Books

This week, first graders began working on our special compliment books. Each year for Valentine’s Day, TCS students write kind and thoughtful compliments for every friend in their class, which are then compiled into a beautiful keepsake book they can treasure forever. First graders truly enjoyed sharing positive words and celebrating one another as they wrote compliments for each classmate. This heartwarming activity was filled with smiles, hugs, and plenty of bucket-filling moments!

Reading Buddies

This week, first graders enjoyed a special Cooper School tradition—Reading Buddies! Students spent time reading with our kindergarten buddies, sharing books and building friendships along the way. We loved reading outside together and can’t wait to continue this fun tradition later on.
