It’s the final countdown!
Now that we are moving into the final trimester, it is time to start looking ahead to all the wonderful things going on here at The Cooper School. Each month has so much going on not only here, but I am sure for you at home as well. From the Gala to class trips, this trimester is going to fly by, so we need to make sure we keep our eye on the prize, which is finishing the school year strong. One of the best ways we can ensure that this school year ends on a positive note is keeping up communication, and ensuring that every student knows what they need to accomplish. I remember this time as a middle schooler, with projects, sports and trips and something always slipped through the cracks. With communication I am confident that everyone can finish the 2025 school year strong and go into summer break on a high note!

Math:
This week, 5th graders took what they know about decimals and applied them to bigger applications. We also took our unit 6 test. Next week, we’ll begin diving into unit 7 by exploring the coordinate plane and different shapes we might see on it. We’ll also take our ERB milestone on Wednesday (March 12).

5th grade Shakespeareans continued their study of A Midsummer Night’s Dream this week while also beginning their sonnets. They counted syllables and perfected rhyme schemes to complete the first half of their poetry – all due 3/21. Additionally, students prepared for the grammar test, taken today. So be sure to look for that grade next week!
