Spring Choir Concert
On Tuesday, the Cooper School community gathered at the Scottish Rite Center for a special musical performance featuring a selection of well-known songs for families and friends. It was a beautiful concert, and we are incredibly grateful to Mr. Andy for his dedication and hard work with the choir throughout the year. Our first through fourth graders put in so much effort, and their performance truly shined. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our scholars, we appreciate you!
Field Trip Fun
On Wednesday, our first graders went on a fun and engaging field trip to the Charleston Library Society. Scholars learned about the rich history of the library, discovering how it has been around for hundreds of years and has grown to house thousands of books. During the visit, scholars explored the beautiful building and even got to visit the “rabbit hole” , a special downstairs room filled with books, puppets, and toys. They enjoyed spending time reading a variety of books and had the opportunity to create their very own bookmarks.We had such a wonderful time—ask your scholar all about their favorite part of the trip!
Action
This week, scholars continued practicing their book reviews in an exciting new way. With support from our middle school media club, they stepped in front of the camera to pitch why others should read a book by their chosen author. First graders showed great bravery, using strong voices and impressive acting skills to share their ideas clearly and confidently. We can’t wait for you to watch these outstanding book reviews created by our young reading experts!
