Art Night
Kindergarteners were so excited to welcome family and friends to their art show this week. Students showed off some of the work that they have completed with Ms. Henslee this year. Our backyard was covered fence-to-fence with student art! Kindergarteners walked guests around to take a peek at their self portraits and pieces inspired by Alma Thomas. We are so proud of our little artists!

Shadow Puppets
Kindergarteners dove a little deeper into puppetry by exploring creating different types of puppets. After learning about finger puppets, hand puppets, stick puppets, rod puppets, and marionettes, students worked this week to create shadow puppets! Kindergarteners learned that all you need to create shadow puppets are your hands and a light source! Students were proud to show off the shadow puppets they already knew how to make. They were excited to learn more complicated ways to create shadow puppets!

Earth Day
Kindergarteners were so excited to observe and celebrate Earth Day. This week, Kindergarteners have brainstormed ways to help take care of our planet. In Writing, students have considered problems in our world that need solving and made signs to help promote change for our Earth! After all of their hard work and brainstorming, students were so excited to put all of their ideas to work and spend Earth Day looking for litter that could be cleaned up as well as reminding friends to take care of Earth, which does such a good job of taking care of us! Kindergarteners were inspired to create and hang signs in our backyard to remind their peers to take care of our space.
