Fun In First Grade !!

Dock Street Theater

On Wednesday First graders went to the Dock Street Theater to see the magnificent play “A Year with Frog and Toad”. Students were so happy to sit up close and in the front row to watch the play. The performance was amazing, and the actors brought the characters to life. First Graders watched with amusement and curious eyes. Ask your child what part of the play was their favorite!

Publishing Our Insect Books

This week first graders have learned so much about each of their insects. As our insect presentation is approaching, first graders have been working hard to publish their final insect topic books.  They are “writing for readers” by using their best handwriting, drawing neat and detailed science illustrations, adding keywords to their glossary, and creating an eye-catching title page. We are over the moon with excitement about their presentations!

Choir

Scholars enjoyed choir with Mr. Andy so much this week. Students were able to sing some of their favorite Halloween songs. Scholars were happy to sing along to The Addams Family, I’m Not Scared and many other songs. Ask your child what their favorite Halloween sing-along was this week!
