Specials

This week in Spanish the students got to take a break from their foreign language learning and instead they did a fun activity in honor of Halloween. The students created a Halloween booklet with different things representing Halloween as well as Día de Muertos which means Day of the Dead. In Yoga the 4th graders got a change of scenery for their yoga session. Yoga outside gave students the opportunity to connect with their surroundings and get some fresh air to clear their minds and stretch their bodies. What’s better than listening to a story from one of your friends. Some 4th grade boys sat around one of their classmates and attentively listened to a Hallwoeen story. TCS 4th graders love to read!

Math

This week in Math the 4th graders learned how to add fractions of tenths and hundredths. They understand that when adding fractions they sometimes have to convert one fraction to have the same denominator before solving the problem. They understand that they add the numerators  and keep the denominator the same.

Happy Halloween!

This year’s Halloween Carnival was even better than ever! Students had a blast exploring the haunted house and playing the games that middle schoolers had for them. The decorations transformed the backyard and students enjoyed getting to show off their costumes. Fresh popcorn and fun prizes made the day a huge hit! Thank you middle schoolers!
