KinderPoets

Poetry
Kindergarteners were so excited to continue their work in poetry this week! Students discovered ways to lift the level of their poetry using rhyming, repetition, and rhythm. Kindergarteners also learned that their best poetry is written about the things they care about most! We are so impressed by our little poets and can’t wait to publish their work!

Bigger Numbers
This week, we were so excited to work with larger numbers! Using the 10-frames that students are already familiar with, students began to create assortments of numbers between 11-20. Students also began practicing and identifying numbers in their teens. Brave mathematicians have been so proud to show off how they’ve leveled up in math!

This week, students worked with Ms. Henslee to put the finishing touches on their work as well as write Artist Statements! In these statements, students got the opportunity to describe their thoughts and feelings behind their work and why they chose to do it. We can’t wait to give you all a peek!
