St. Patrick’s Day Fun
Last week, Cooper School students worked in clusters to design leprechaun traps in hopes of catching the little guy this week! When students arrived at school on Tuesday, Leprechaun Traps were set up in the backyard but seemed to have been messed with… It turns out the Leprechaun found and investigated their traps, left behind green beads and a limerick, but wiggled his way out of each one! We love all of the excitement and imagination students brought to our St. Patrick’s Day celebration!
Collecting Data & Building Graphs
Our brave mathematicians have spent the week investigating the wonderful world of graphing. Students worked together to collect and organize data. They then got to practice showing this information on a bar graph. These brave scholars spent time collecting data, building graphs, and comparing their results to learn even more about their classmates. Kindergartners continue to impress us with their passion for learning!
Haikus to Celebrate Spring
This week, Kinder-Poets learned about the wonderful world of haiku! These brave writers learned that this poetry style is from Japan and these poems are made up of three lines that can be said in one breath. We learned that haikus are written about nature so Kindergarteners were thrilled to welcome spring with haikus all about the arrival of spring and celebrating a new season!
