Final Touches
Second graders are excited to be finishing their bird presentations! Students have successfully researched their chosen birds and typed all of their findings into PowerPoint slide shows. Throughout this project, students have been practicing and strengthening the computer and typing skills they have worked so hard on all school year. They have loved making their presentations unique by adding drawings, images, colors, and creative designs to their slides. Students are so proud of their hard work and are very excited to share their bird presentations with their loved ones. We cannot wait to celebrate all they have learned and created!
Put It All Together
Second graders have officially completed their spelling and grammar units for the school year! It has been such a joy watching students grow in their confidence and strengthen their reading and writing skills throughout the year. As students work on writing their final realistic fiction stories, they are practicing and applying all of the spelling and grammar skills they have learned. From using correct punctuation, verb tense, and capitalization to choosing strong spelling patterns and complete sentences, students are putting everything together in their writing. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity, and we cannot wait to read their finished stories!
Pass It On
We are so proud of our second-grade poets for a fantastic evening full of poetry! Students practiced every day leading up to the event. Second graders practiced having a calm body, speaking loudly, enunciating their words, and making eye contact with the audience! Students chose which poem they wanted to read aloud and which poems they wanted to add to TCS’s Pass It On 2025 book. We hope you all enjoy this year’s Pass It On book! We love how courageous, confident, creative, inspiring, and determined this second-grade class is!
