Parent Teacher Conferences
We would like to thank all of the parents for joining us this week for Parent/Teacher Conferences. This was a wonderful way to have a face-to-face with parents and learn more about your student. This meeting gives us a chance to brag about all the wonderful things your child does each day at school. The home-school connection is important to the overall success of each child and we are so grateful to be a part of your child’s education.
Writing
Thanksgiving is right around the corner so this week in Writing we put our focus on Gratitude. Students are writing their very own gratitude books in which they detail the things in their lives that they are most thankful for. It has been so fun brainstorming as a class, coming up with synonyms for gratitude, and putting everything together on paper! We can’t wait to share these books with you!
Centers
Our first graders had an amazing time in Centers this week. Scholars were able to practice writing letters to friends and families. We practiced making our heart words with playdough. First graders played a fun math game called Roll & Race. Lastly, we got to enjoy our “center bags”. Centers are always one of our favorite things of the week !
