As our Middle Schoolers begin heading out on their end of year field trips, I’m reminded of the sweet memories from my middle school field trips that I still hold near and dear to my heart. My 8th grade year, we flew from Indianapolis to Washington D.C. with the classmates we had grown up with, and got a taste of independence as we meandered the city without our parents. Although being in another city was so special and eye-opening – being with my favorite teachers and my closest friends are what ultimately made that trip so memorable. I’m just so STOKED for our kiddos to make the same long-lasting memories that I’m sure as adults, they’ll fondly reflect on just like we do!

Math:
This week, 6th graders crushed their ERB tests! Next week, we’ll begin wrapping up unit 7 by going over our study guide, and then we’ll head out to Earthshine on Wednesday!
ELA:
This week 6th grade was deep in ERB testing. When I saw them after testing, we practiced particular ELA test concepts and participated in some fun end-of-year reflective writing.
Next week, 6th graders will be off to Earthshine by Wednesday. I’m so excited to see them bond and grow in the mountains!
Social Studies:
Sixth graders continued their work on the Ancient Greeks. We are participating in our battle of Thermopolye on Tuesday before their trip to Earthshine. I know they will enjoy their trip!
Science:
I had a blast at GRP with the fifth grade this week and I hear the sixth graders have completed their ERB testing. Moving forward, we will continue to learn more about senses!
