Thank you!

Thank You!

As our school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being such an important part of an incredible year in second grade together.

What a journey it has been! From the snowy landscapes of the Arctic to the skies above and the rich histories of our community, we explored so much together. Students’ curiosity, creativity, and dedication brought our three big projects to life in unforgettable ways:

  • The Polar Biome and Inuit Study opened our eyes to the unique challenges and beauty of animals in the Arctic. We learned about adaptation, survival, and the deep cultural traditions of the Inuit people.

  • Cooper Village gave us the chance to step back and experience what life was like as a business owner. Through building, planning, job applications and researching, we gained a new appreciation for community and resourcefulness.

  • The Bird Study invited us to observe the natural world more closely, as we became scientists in our own backyard—watching, recording, and learning about the amazing diversity of birds around us.

Through every project, second grade students showed wonder, perseverance, and teamwork. As a community, your support, encouragement, and enthusiasm made all the difference. Whether helping with materials, asking questions at home, or joining us for presentations, you helped create a learning environment that was truly special.

We spent this week reminiscing about our year and how the students have grown in so many ways. We took an opportunity to look back at old work and students were amazed to see how they have grown in so many ways. Students then ended our year with an amazing Field Day with our cluster groups.

Thank you for a year filled with growth, discovery, and joy. We are so proud of everything second graders accomplished together, and we will carry the memories of this class with us always.

Sincerely,
Alex and Josie
