Dock Street Theater
On Wednesday Third graders went to the Dock Street Theater to see the magnificent play “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief”. Students were so happy to sit “up top” and in the front row to watch the play. Percy Jackson was amazing, and the actors really brought the characters to life. Third Graders watched with amusement and curious eyes. Ask your child what part of the play was their favorite!
Urban Farm Field Trip
This week scholars took another field trip to the Urban Farm at Enston Home. Third graders were excited to learn about the Green Heart Project and their work. Students were split into small groups and led around the farm and got to see the different uses of the farm space. Third graders were encouraged to use their 5 senses to engage with the space as they explored. Lastly, we all came back together for a garden-fresh taste test. Ask your scholar what was their favorite part of this field trip!
Art
This week in art class scholars continued to work on their paper mache bowls for our upcoming changemaker project! These plates will have inspired symbols that represent each student’s changemaker. Our scholars have worked so hard on these and we can’t wait to share these with you all!
