We Are so Thankful

Harvest Festival

Thank you all for coming out to celebrate the Harvest Feast! First Grade loved participating in all of the Thanksgiving fun with you. Our students shared so many things that they were thankful for and we loved seeing them with their family and friends!

Gratitude Books

This week, first graders proudly wrapped up their very special Gratitude Books, and we could not be more proud of their beautiful work! Each scholar carefully reflected on the many wonderful things in their lives and thoughtfully narrowed it down to seven things they are most grateful for. From family and friends to pets, nature, and favorite hobbies, their ideas were heartfelt and meaningful. To make their books even more special, students added detailed illustrations to match each sentence. They worked hard to include color, texture, and thoughtful details that helped show exactly why each item on their gratitude list is so important to them. The artwork truly brought their words to life! We were over the moon to share these books with you at the Harvest Festival ,such a perfect time to come together and celebrate thankfulness as a community. A huge shout-out goes to our amazing kindergarteners for hand-painting the book covers for us! Their creative contribution made these keepsakes even more magical, and we are so appreciative of their hard work!

Thanksgiving Centers

This week our classroom was filled with fall fun as we rotated through a variety of Thanksgiving-themed centers and stations! One of our favorite activities was our directed turkey drawings. Each scholar carefully followed step-by-step instructions to sketch their very own turkey masterpiece, and then brought them to life using oil pastels and beautiful watercolor paint. The final artwork turned out absolutely stunning ,so full of color and personality. In addition to our art projects, first graders were thrilled to play Thanksgiving Bingo. The excitement and laughter around the room made it such a special moment. We have truly enjoyed celebrating the season together through creativity, teamwork, and gratitude. These Thanksgiving crafts and activities have filled our classroom with joy, and we can’t wait for even more autumn adventures ahead!
