Presenting our Change!
We are still glowing from Wednesday’s Changemakers Presentation. Your children blew us away with their thoughtful research, powerful speeches, and the confidence they showed as young changemakers! Thank you for taking the time to come, listen, cheer them on, and celebrate this big milestone. We hope you’ll keep talking at home about the change they care about and help them keep sending their ripple out into your family, our school, and the larger community.

Character Study
We also launched a brand new reading unit: Character Study. On Thursday and Friday, we spent time getting to know the main characters in our books by closely noticing what they say and do. Third graders are beginning to use those details to describe who their characters are. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be tracking how characters grow and change, and what lessons they might be teaching us as readers.

Gratitude Writing
Every November, we turn our focus toward gratitude, and this week we began gratitude writing. Third graders are pushing themselves to think more deeply about what gratitude really means, moving beyond a simple list of “thankful for” items into why those people, places, and experiences matter so much to them. We can already see their reflections becoming richer and more specific, and we’re excited to share their gratitude writing with you later this month
