Cooper Village !!

Cooper Village Success

Wow!!! Is the word that pops into our head when thinking about seeing this multi-week project finally come to life. The Second Graders’ speeches were executed with finesse and emotion. Students are still asking if there is more we could do with Cooper Village. That right there, tells you how much this truly collaborative project meant to our students. A huge shout out to all of the parents who brought snacks, prepared costumes, and supported our class on this journey. It was definitely a fine example of a loving community coming together to celebrate success and learning.

One Word Resolutions

This week Second Graders revisited their “One Word” resolutions that they made in January. Students reflected on their chosen word and how it has encouraged them to meet individual goals during the months of January and February. Several students shared moments when their “One Word” encouraged them to make good decisions or complete tasks that seemed challenging.

Purposeful Movement

This week was our last week of Purposeful Movement with Mrs. Lizl. Second graders have learned so much about the human body, emotions, different exercises, muscles and so much more during this special class. Second graders ended their last Purposeful Movement on Tuesday with Mrs. Lizl by learning all about the muscles in the body and how different things affect the body. Lastly, they enjoyed a game of ball catch with fun music.
