Mark your calendars!
Giving Tuesday is a global movement of philanthropy that occurs annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. This day serves as a way to redirect focus to acts of kindness and charitable giving after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Each year, The Cooper School chooses a specific initiative for the day’s fundraising efforts. This year, TCS has a goal of raising $24,000 to create two additional Hawk Scholarship awards. The Hawk Scholarship is a merit-based $12,000 scholarship to attend TCS Middle School. Eligible candidates must be rising Grade 6 students attending high-achieving public schools who demonstrate high academic achievement, exemplary citizenship, and leadership potential.
Gift matching for this day is already underway with $8,000 generously pledged toward our $24,000 goal! If you’d like to offer a match or pledge for this day, please contact Kayla Sewell, Director of Advancement, at kaylasewell@thecooperschool.org or (843) 459-2591.
