Formulas, Self Assessment, and Artifacts!

Writing

This week in Third Grade, students circled back to Self Assessment. We’ve worked super hard this week to write our rough drafts and begin drafting our final copies to prepare for our student-led conferences. Students are looking forward to sharing the progress they’ve made this year with their parents on March 1st and 2nd!

Math

Students learned about formulas and how they can be used to help us find the area of rectangles. We also investigated different types of rectangles and their areas. Students were interested to find a connection between this module and our previous module; The distributive property!

Social Studies

Third Grade scholars continued working on our Asia unit this week. We moved from writing our essays, to creating artifacts to go along with our Asia presentations. Students brainstormed and planned out the artifact they wanted to create, and started the process to make their vision a reality!
