The American Revolution
Thank you to everyone who came to our presentation on the American Revolution. We hope you enjoyed seeing what our Fourth Grade students have been studying these past few months and are so glad you got to see all of their hard work. On Tuesday afternoon Fourth Grade joined Kindergarten in the library and students paired up to present their children’s books. Each Fourth Grader got to read their book to a couple of Kindergarteners before heading outside to play together.
On Wednesday the students began working on their compliment books for Valentine’s Day. Each student wrote a word on a cut-out heart and pinned it onto our compliment writing board. Some examples of words written include kind, empathetic, thoughtful, and helpful. The goal was to write words that describe fellow students and could be used when writing their compliment books. Their compliment books will consist of letters to each student in the class and will be given out on Valentine’s Day.
In math the students have been learning about multiplication. They just finished a brief lesson on learning different ways to multiply two digit numbers with one digit numbers and are now exploring measurement conversions such as centimeters, meters, and kilometers.
