Fun In Third Grade !!

Math

This week in math our mathematicians learned how to represent and solve multiplication problems. Our scholars were able to solve problems involving equal groups with a picture or diagram of their choice. Ask your child to show you one of the many ways they learned to solve multiplication problems.

Drama

Third Graders were excited to do drama this week! This year we had actors from Charleston Stage come to our school to work on presentation and dramatic skills. During these classes, students use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to create different scenes. Third Grade actors and actresses really enjoyed learning and playing engaging theater games. By practicing these theatrical skills, students are able to gain confidence when performing in front of an audience.

Reading

This week, Third Graders discussed what it meant to read with grit. Students followed the lesson by working on self-assessments where they scored themselves on the grit they use while reading. Students were excited to see how they scored and to look into what areas they could improve in their reading.
