The Cooper School Daily

Hello December!

New Math Unit!

This week Second Graders began unit 4 math! They are beginning to learn about number lines! They have been working so hard to learn different strategies and different ways you can create a number line. For a visual representation students were given random numbers and had to strategically place them on a number line on the board! Students had to make sure there was enough space for all the numbers to fit and to ensure the line plot was correct!

Writing about our Favorite Book Character!

This week in writing second graders have been working on opinion writing! Second graders choose their favorite character from a book and have begun writing letters about them! The letters contain convincing information about their favorite characters! Soon they will share with the class and get to read the books their classmates love!
