Reading

Readers have continued to work on becoming experts on their Asian Animals. Students have been working hard with their research groups to find important information about their animals. We’ve been working on finding interesting facts, subtopics, and special vocabulary. We are having so much fun finding new information about pandas, tigers, and elephants! 

Classroom Community

This week in Third Grade, we welcomed a new addition to our classroom! Third Graders are now proud new caretakers of a hermit crab. On Wednesday, students had the opportunity to vote on a name for our new friend and they settled on Bob!

Writing

In writing this week, writers have been working extra diligently to finish their compliment books. We’ve been working hard to come up with kind, deep compliments to give to our classmates. We’re excited to pass out our compliments to our classmates during our Valentine’s Day celebration!
