In the Home Stretch!

Math

This week in math, we took our module 6 assessment and moved into a review week! We’ve spent the week reviewing multiplication and division! Mathematicians had so much fun going on a division scavenger hunt around the classroom on Wednesday. During the scavenger hunt, students had to find and solve all 30 division problems that were hiding around the classroom!

Reading

In Reading we are continuing to explore fairy tales and the elements that you often see in fairy tales. Students enjoyed playing “typewriter” during our reading center on Wednesday. Usually Third Graders enjoy playing typewriter with Mr. Ryan during Drama, but instead this time Ms. Rachael led the game and had students act out an original fairy tale that she came up with!

Specials

In music this week, Third Graders worked to finish their movie posters to be hung around the school to advertise the movie that they’ve been working hard on with Mr. Noodle. Students are very excited to have finished their posters and are looking forward to nominating and voting on awards for their classmates next week!

Reminder: Third Grade will be completing ERB Testing next week. It is important that your child is well rested and makes it to school on time in the mornings. Testing will begin on Tuesday, May 18th and will end on Friday, May 21st.
