Writing

Third Graders were so excited to put their creative energy to work dramatizing their fairytale adaptations! Over the past couple of weeks, students have read and analyzed all of the elements of well-known fairy tales. They used their knowledge to adapt fairytales, by adjusting either a character, the story’s setting, or a motivation. This week, students began looking at children’s theater scripts! Third Graders were so excited for the challenge to transform their own stories into scenes to present to peers!

Math

We are so proud of Third Graders for all of their hard work in math this year! Students completed Unit 9 this week, their final Math unit of the school year. Students were so excited to show all of their math knowledge. Students especially loved the opportunity to share their knowledge of multiplication facts! Third Graders concluded their week by showing all that they’ve learned this year on their End Of Year Assessments.

Word Work

This week, Third Grade wrapped up our Word Work assignments! Students were so excited to dive into their final spelling lists, as well as finish up Unit 15 of our Vocabulary work. It was only fitting that our final grammar lesson this year was on Comparatives and Superlatives. Third Graders practiced ways to use superlatives to share with everyone they know that, “Third Grade is the greatest!”
