May Flew By!

Charleston Animal Society
Students were SO excited for our final field trip of the school year this week to the Charleston Animal Society! To celebrate all of their hard work in Reading this year, students chose books to share with adoptable puppies at the animal shelter. This experience was completely heartwarming to see students showing compassion to puppies looking to be adopted while also finding someone to listen to their very impressive reading skills!

Comparing Weight
Students have been busy in our classroom learning so many new terms to compare the weights of different objects! Students compared different items in our classroom and predicted which would be heavier. Using a balance, Kindergarteners were excited to put their predictions to the test. It was so exciting to solve the mystery of which items were “heavier”, “lighter”, and “equal”! Our class is full of mathematicians ready to show off their knowledge to the world.

Spirit Week!
This week, Kindergarteners were so excited to show off all their spirit for The Cooper School this week through self expression. Students came to school decked out in their favorite colors, merchandise for things they are fans of, wacky and tacky clothes, and even their favorite hats! We love celebrating a year of hard work by getting to see Kindergarteners in some of their very favorite clothes!
