Our Geologists are Rockstars

What an amazingly awesome week we’ve had in Science!! Our friend Ms. Jennifer from High Touch High Tech visited us on Wednesday for our first in-school Science field trip. Students’ wonders like “How do you build roofs out of bricks?” and “How were rocks made?” were expertly answered by our guest Geologist. Students sifted and sorted gems, learned about minerals, and discovered incredible facts about our earth’s core!

Namaste Friends

Yoga is definitely a highlight for our Second Grade friends. Stretching our muscles and taming our minds is the perfect break from those dizzying math facts. Second graders are learning the importance of paying attention to our body and minds from the wonderful instruction of Ms. Stacy. Their puppy minds are being challenged through direct instruction and difficult maneuvers.

Brain vs Calculator

In Math this week, students are learning the importance of knowing their +1 and +0 Math facts through a fun game known as Brain vs Calculator. Practicing our “easy” addition math facts will help students gain speed with their mental math. You can help at home by orally quizzing them on simple +1 and +0 math facts up to 10.
