Our Home in Kindergarten!

Creating Our Kindergarten House Rules
Kindergarteners started their week off by reviewing and then putting our classroom rules onto paper. Students discussed the importance of ONE voice in our classroom, taking care of our materials and each other, as well as using kind words and gentle hands. Kindergarten spent the week practicing their mastery of our classroom rules and applying them in every aspect of their day!

Matching Mathematicians
This week, Kindergarteners were invited to join a math tea party! For our teddy bear tea party, students were asked to examine visual patterns to match teacups and saucers. Each tea party item was designed with exciting colors and patterns used to find perfect matches, and in some cases, similar but different pairs. Kindergarteners were so excited to help their friends get ready for delicious tea!

We Are Writers!
Kindergarteners are off and running with Writing Workshop! Friends spent the week writing about topics that they know best. Kindergarteners are pushing themselves to add details and labels to pictures that teach. These brave writers are teaching us all about magical unicorns, the grocery store, dinosaurs, siblings and much more!
