Math

In Math, we are diving deep into Multiplication. We are starting to explore multiplication vocabulary, and the properties of Multiplication such as the Commutative Property of Multiplication. We have worked to show multiplication in a variety of ways, repeated addition, equal groups, and equations. We also spent time unpacking multi-step word problems.  

Writing

This week, writers moved towards working with greater independence in their own opinion writing. Students chose to work on several parts of their drafts including structure, organization, evidence, and research. After trying out several introductions and deciding which one would best engage their audience, writers worked to clearly convey their claim of their opinion writing drafts. Next week, we publish!

Social Studies

In Social Studies this week, we are so excited to start our Asia Study! We are learning all about the biomes of Asia, with a special focus on the Grasslands and Mountain Biomes. Do you know what the Asian Grasslands are called? We do! We can’t wait to learn more about the geographic and political features of Asia.
