Phonics
We are moving right along in phonics learning all about different endings. This week we started studying how and when to add an –s and -es to the end of words. The students are really getting the hang of remembering these special rules and applying them to their writing. Second graders had a great time sorting picture cards into their correct category and making funny sentences with their partners!

Drama

Our Second Graders LOVE Mr. Ryan and all of the fun energy he brings to the classroom. This week he read the “true” story of “The Three Little Pigs”. Students had a great time listening to this story with all of Mr. Ryan’s animated voices. At the end, they had the opportunity to pick a character and create how they would want their costume to look. They were all so creative and loved using their imaginations to make each drawing unique to them.

Cooper Village

Building, gluing, painting, oh my! Second Graders have been working so hard on completing Cooper Village. They have loved this hands-on Cooper School project, and are extremely proud of their work. We are so proud of how the students have collaborated throughout this assignment and all of the effort they have put forth to make is the most spectacular village ever! This is something that they will always remember.
