Science Centers

Second Graders explored earth materials we’ve studied through science centers this week. Through sand art, clay dice, painting clay charms, and playing iSpy with rocks that share commonalities,  Second Graders were able to wrap their rock unit.

Reading

This week Second Graders have started their Book Clubs! Everyone has been so excited to dive into these new books. Second Graders have been split into three Book Clubs based on their reading level. Book Clubs are reading books including Cam Jansen, Mercy Watson, and The Time Warp Trio. Be sure to ask your Second Grader which club they’re in!

Wordwork

For wordwork this week Scholars reviewed words from the book Violet the Pilot, we wrapped the week up with a fun game of charades. Scholars practiced using adverbs to describe a verb, as a class we collected over 20 adverbs describing how we get ready in the morning!
