Bird Study

Second Graders spent a lot of time researching their birds this week. They explored various websites to gather information on their bird’s characteristics, habitat, and much more. Second Graders have also started to work on Powerpoints for their bird, everyone has learned how to add text and pictures to their slides. Second Graders are loving this time they have to explore new features on their computers!

Reading

Scholars wrapped up their Book Series unit this week in Reading by picking one book in their series that they enjoyed the most and wanted to share with a friend. Scholars spent time creating Valentine’s, post-it notes, and letters of recommendations for the book they chose to share. 

Rock Climbing

Second Graders had a blast at our final rock climbing session! Some friends focused on achieving their goal from the previous week and others came up with a new goal to work towards. Check in with your Second Grader to hear about their goal!
