The Cooper School Daily

Shining Stars

Shining stars are what you are

Illuminate the sky

And after all you’ve learned this year

It’s not surprising why

Reading, Writing, Science, Math

And Social Studies too

Language, PE and so much more

Will always follow you

Let laughter, love, and friendship

And happy memories made

Find a way onto your face

On any rainy day

And if you ever lose your way

Just cast your eyes above

‘Cause shining stars are what you are

And forever you will stay

This week, Sixth and Seventh Graders have been busy showing off what they have learned on the ERB tests. They have taken these tests this week: Verbal Reasoning, Vocabulary, Writing Mechanics, Writing Concepts and Skills, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, Math 1, and Math 2. After the tests, students have been able to have a bit of a brain break by playing outside and participating in board games with their peers and teachers. We have learned new card games and become really competitive at others!

You all know what next week holds for us….DISNEY!! We will have a regularly scheduled day on Monday; then Tuesday, we’re off! Thank you all for joining us at the parent meeting earlier this week! We look forward to many fun times and memories to come! Please reach out if you have any remaining questions.

Students are encouraged to wear their favorite color (head to toe) on Tuesday, dress wacky-tacky on Wednesday, and wear pajamas on Thursday!
