Shining Stars

Shining stars are what you are

Illuminate the sky

And after all you’ve learned this year

It’s not surprising why

Reading, Writing, Science, Math

And Social Studies too

Language, PE and so much more

Will always follow you

Let laughter, love, and friendship

And happy memories made

Find a way onto your face

On any rainy day

And if you ever lose your way

Just cast your eyes above

‘Cause shining stars are what you are

And forever you will stay

I know we have all enjoyed Ms. Lindsay’s nightly recaps from GRP! I am totally jealous! I cannot wait for them to return and share all of the silly memories made. I know this will be a trip they will treasure forever. The end of the school year is so close, I can’t believe it!

Next week, Fifth Graders will have their turn to show off what they have learned this year on the ERB tests. They will take these tests next week: Verbal Reasoning, Vocabulary, Writing Mechanics, Writing Concepts and Skills, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, Math 1, and Math 2. After the tests, students will be able to have a bit of a brain break by playing outside and participating in board games with their peers and teachers, and work on finalizing field day details!

Looking ahead to the last week of school, we will be having SPIRIT WEEK! Students are encouraged to wear their favorite color (head to toe) on Tuesday, dress wacky-tacky on Wednesday, and wear pajamas on Thursday! Friday is Field Day and the Fifth Graders have had an opportunity to plan and run the whole thing!
