Second Grade Jokesters!

In reading this week Second Graders got to tell riddles to their fellow classmates. Each student received two riddles or jokes that they had to read and relay the joke to other classmates. Some riddles had hard words, so students rolled up their sleeves and sounded out the difficult words. Students learned the importance of understanding words in their readings and even their knock knock jokes.

Charleston Battery Soccer Players!

This week the Cooper School got the amazing opportunity to meet two players of the Charleston Battery soccer team! Students were able to meet the players, ask questions, and even got both of their autographs! Students were so excited to ask many questions about soccer and their positions! It was a great opportunity to learn about the players and the Charleston Battery!

Computers!

In Second Grade we are starting to begin working with our computers! Students are so very excited to begin and eager to learn more about them! We will be implementing rocket math, for fast fact recall and doing Keyboarding Without Tears. Students have been patiently waiting to get logged onto their computers and get started. We can’t wait to see their computer skills grow through second grade!
