Thankful In Third Grade !!!

Harvest Festival

Thank you all for coming out to celebrate the Harvest Festival! Third Grade loved participating in all of the Thanksgiving fun with you. Our students shared so many things that they were thankful for and we loved seeing them with their family and friends!

Read Aloud

Third Grade began our next read aloud this week, Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. The story follows a young girl, Opal, as she meets and takes in a, “big, ugly, suffering dog with a sterling sense of humor”, Winn-Dixie. Students have loved listening to the hilarious adventures of the dynamic duo.

Gratitude Books

This week third graders finished up their gratitude books. Each scholar narrowed it down to six things they were grateful for. Scholars worked so hard and added thoughtful reasoning for the things they were grateful for. Third graders also drew detailed pictures to go along with their sentences. We were so excited to hand these out at the Harvest Festival and so grateful for our kindergarteners for hand painting our book covers!!!
