Third Grade Fun !!!

Social Studies

We have been master researchers this week as we learn all about the Who, What, When, Where, and How of our China topics! We also investigated how something becomes important to a culture. Students were so curious and thoughtful about what makes cultures different, and how they value different things! Students created and decorated their very own Chinese lanterns this week to go along with our continued investigations into Chinese culture.

In writing this week, writers have been working extra diligently to finish their compliment books. We’ve been working hard to come up with kind and meaningful compliments to give to our classmates. We’re excited to pass out our compliments to our classmates during our Valentine’s Day celebration!

This week in math our scholars dug deeper into multiplication and division. Students were able to use the relationship between multiplication and division to write equations and solve problems. Our mathematicians were ecstatic to practice identifying multiplication facts within 100. Ask your scholar some fun multiplication facts and have them solve these problems for you!!
