Third Grade Fun

Social Studies

Third Graders spent the week putting the final touches on their Asia Study Presentations. Students wrapped up speeches, built artifacts, and placed their topics on a timeline. Students even made some time for additional art projects to be included in our presentation. We are so proud of all of the hard work Third Graders have put into our Asia study this trimester!

This week in math our mathematicians took it a step further and focused on multiplying numbers larger than twenty. Scholars were so ecstatic to jump from numbers of ten to twenty. Our scholars also learned to use the four operations to solve problems. Students were able to represent two step word problems using equations to find the unknown quantity.

Read Aloud

Our class has been so intrigued in our read aloud “ Where the Mountain Meets the Moon”. This read aloud connects with our Asia Study. Scholars were so thrilled to finally finish this amazing read aloud. Our students realized the theme of this book includes fortune or fate, curiosity, and trust. We can’t wait to start our next real aloud!
