Persisting Through !!!

Math

This week in math scholars wrapped up unit six and took a math assessment. This unit focused on time and measurement. Our mathematicians were so happy to learn more about time and were already masters at measurement before this unit. We are moving onto our last two units which involve two dimensional shapes and perimeter.

Writing

Third Graders were so excited to put their creative energy to work dramatizing their fairytale adaptations! Over the past couple of weeks, students have read and analyzed all of the elements of well-known fairy tales. They used their knowledge to adapt fairytales, by adjusting either a character, the story’s setting, or a motivation.

Goals

As the end of the year is near, Scholars have been writing down goals they would like to accomplish before the last day of school. Some scholars dug deep and wrote goals such as moving up a reading level, getting all their words correct on spelling and vocabulary tests, and so many other awesome goals. We are confident our scholars will achieve them! Our scholars are making sure to use persistence these last few weeks.
