Community Change Makers Presentation

Third Graders spent the week putting the final touches on their Community Change Makers project. Students polished their writing, art, timeline boards, and practiced their public speaking in anticipation of their final presentation. We are so excited to present how much change (even the smallest voices) can make.

*Our presentation is Friday, November 15th at 9:00

Curiosity

Third Grade has been exploring curiosity recently.  We have created a “Wonder Wall” in our classroom where students can post their personal wonders.  Some of the “wonders” students have shared are, “Why do we have to cut down so many trees?”, “Who was the first person on Earth?” and, “I wonder if people can live on another planet?”  We love our curious Third Graders!

Writing

Our class has come so far in their nonfiction writing. As students finish each chapter of their informational books, they then began the editing process. This week, students worked in pairs to read and give feedback on each others’ instructional text. Third Graders are thrilled to be one step closer to publishing their work!
