Reading

As we headed into our nonfiction unit on Reading to Learn, students learned to look for clues and knowledge as they learned more and more from their new books. Students were able to learn so many things from reading pennies and ask questions that they still had after reading them. We discovered that books are not the only types of nonfiction writing in the world!

Math

Third Grade scholars started a new math unit this week. Students are learning all about area. Scholars are working on finding the area of rectangles and triangles. Our mathematicians used tile blocks to determine the area of drawn out shapes. Stay tuned to watch your scholar learn more about area!
