Reading/Writing

Writers ended our fairy tale unit by creating comic strips of a scene from either their adapted fairy tale or their original fairy tale! Writers found that it was a bit of a challenge to take a scene and convert it down to just six frames! Another exciting thing that readers did this week was act out their favorite fairy tale.

Science

We reviewed how scientists can observe using their senses and then discussed the various properties to compare when observing sound. Young scientists explored the properties of sound that make them identifiable during the “Drop Challenge”. They listened to sounds made by objects dropped into a drop chamber and attempted to identify the objects based on their sounds. Stay tuned for more sound investigations as we continue this exciting unit!

Spirit Week

Scholars were so excited to express themselves everyday this week during spirit week. Scholars got to wear their favorite color, favorite fandom merch, tacky clothes and favorite hat. We were so excited to  share things we love with our class and community!
