We Are Writers!

Writing

Kindergarteners were thrilled to the gills to launch our first Writing Workshop unit this week! These young writers are filled to the brim with great ideas and bravely dove into putting those ideas onto paper with pictures and words. Kindergarten writers know that they can share stories or knowledge in their writing. They especially enjoyed sharing their hard work and ideas with their peers! Ask your Kindergartener what they wrote about during Writing Workshop this week!

Finishing Up Frog & Toad

Students were excited to reach the end of a class favorite, The Frog & Toad Complete Collection. Kindergarteners have had a blast connecting with, learning from, and laughing at some of our new favorite characters, Frog and Toad. We cannot get enough of their silly hijinks! This book has become a class favorite, as students immediately asked to read it again as the last story finished! We treasure the friendship and kindness that Frog and Toad model for our Kindergarteners on each page!

All About Me Bags

This week, Kindergarteners had the opportunity to fill a paper bag with items to share about themselves to show and tell their peers all about. Students bravely stood in front of their classmates and shared photos of their family, their favorite toys, photos of their pets, drawings of their favorite foods, and even some of their favorite animals! We were so excited to learn all about all of our Kindergarten friends, especially those we found a common thread with!
