The Cooper School Daily

Week of December 12th

First Graders had a very festive week before Winter Break! Our class was hard at work preparing for the Winter Extravaganza and rehearsing for their big choir performance. Here are some of our favorite moments from this week:

The Winter Concert

Our students loved performing December in Our Town, Jingle Bells, Christmas Time is Here, and Still a Bach Christmas for their families at the Winter Concert! A big thank you to our TCS choir teacher, Mr. Alton, for his hard work leading up to this beautiful event!

Winter Solstice Centers

In preparation for the Winter Extravaganza our students strung popcorn & cranberries, made orange pomanders, and created a big sign for our Winter Solstice booth! We are so excited to welcome TCS families to campus on Friday to celebrate all of the special holidays that occur each winter.

Hanukkah Fun

On Thursday, our class got the opportunity to learn about the history and traditions surrounding the holiday of Hanukkah! Students played dreidel, ate donuts, and learned about the eight days of Hanukkah. A big thank you to the Kleiman family for helping to bring these fun traditions to our classroom!

We are wishing everyone a safe and fun Winter Break! We are looking forward to welcoming all of our students back to campus in 2023.
